1. Eligibility
Eligibility for admission to any class of the Nursery Department is primarily dependent on the age of the child and the distance of the residence of the child from the School.
For the Academic session 2019-20, the age requirement for each class (up to Class II) is given below:
- Nursery I (born between 01 April 2015 to 31 March 2016, both days inclusive)
- Nursery II (born between 01 April 2014 to 31 March 2015, both days inclusive)
- Preparatory (born between 01 April 2013 to 31 March 2014, both days inclusive)
For the Academic session 2020-21, the age requirement for each class (up to Class II) is given below:
- Nursery I (born between 01 April 2016 to 31 March 2017, both days inclusive)
- Nursery II (born between 01 April 2015 to 31 March 2016, both days inclusive)
- Preparatory (born between 01 April 2014 to 31 March 2015, both days inclusive)
The authorities of this School are aware that there is considerable confusion regarding the age at which a child may be admitted to Class I. According to the RTE Act, elementary education starts with Class I and a child must be six years old before he can be admitted to Class I.
Application for admission to Nursery II to Class VIII is based on number of seats available. For any queries regarding admission to classes Nursery II to Class VIII please contact the School Office.
